Last month was a great networking event at The Tumwater Room in Oregon City. The venue hosted us with beautiful décor, linens, flowers, china and crystal PLUS catered a full dinner by Alimenti Catering. The view of the Willamette Falls and the setting sun was perfection. Thank you so much to Darrell and Natasha for a wonderful Networking Event. The educational topic was “12 Steps to Maximizing Your Online Presence”. Referral Dollars were also handed out to people who referred other members during the month and a $20 Door Prize was won.
Thank you JaLove Designs for featuring your yummy cupcakes and desserts. Thank you Stacey of Flowers & Stuff for the lovely floral arrangement on the buffet table.
Even with 5 “day-of” cancellations due to illness, we had a great turnout with 29 wedding professionals.

Thank you everyone for making NW Wed Pro what it is. This Network just keeps growing and growing. The collaborations and partnerships that have formed from attending the monthly meetings are just amazing. YOU are what makes this group a success.

Do you know of a good guest speaker that would be interested in speaking at an upcoming meeting? Please give me your suggestions. Is there a topic that you would like to be covered?
Are you interested in having one of our meetings be another workshop where we bring our laptops and help each other go through the steps of online pages such as Pinterest, Facebook, Google+ and linking? We could break into groups and have a table for each topic and be facilitated by a teacher. It would need to be a venue that has Wifi.

June Wedding Season in Oregon

Hello NW Wed Pro!

We are over half way through the month already. It’s been a Rip Roarin’ June so far!

NW Wed Pro met on June 13^th at The McLean House in West Linn. This is such a beautiful wedding venue. They have put so much work into making this a fantastic location for weddings and events with much more to come. Ideally, it’s an outdoor venue with sprawling lawns, a gazebo, water feature, flower gardens and a huge stamped concrete pad for table seating, dancing, tent and more.

The historic home provides lovely downstairs rooms for buffet set up and many beautifully appointed rooms upstairs for the wedding party to prepare for the big day. This venue is affordable, has a Willamette Riverfront location and plenty of shade. Thank you McLean House for hosting our meeting.

We dined on delicious pasta, salads, fresh fruit and bread provided by Alisa of Divine Catering in Tigard. She is a talented chef with a wonderful personality and smile. Check out her website at www.divine-catering.com Thank you Alisa for sharing with us your culinary talents!

Lots of dollar bills were handed out for referrals given by Wed Pros to others in the group. “It PAYS to be a NW Wed Pro!”

Cedar Springs Country Estate has acquired a new venue coordinator so they will be continuing the wedding business

Mark your calendar for July 11^th at 6:30pm to meet at Knoll Crest Gardens in Sandy, Oregon. Forward this email to all of the East County vendors that you know!

Then on August 8^th at 6:30pm, we will meet at St. Josef’s Vineyard in Canby, Oregon. Tara has made some beautiful changes to the venue that she would like to share with us.

We will also meet September 12^th at 6:30pm at The Ainsworth House & Gardens in Oregon City, Oregon. Tour the historic mansion of Captain Ainsworth, dine in the beautiful conservatory and stroll through the amazing gardens.
