The old saying “APRIL SHOWERS” is certainly holding true. Let’s hope the May Flowers come through with lots of sunshine! This is a VERY wet Spring so far. Has anyone even made it out to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival yet? I am still hoping to. Beautiful opportunities for photography there.
Tuesday night of this week was our April networking meeting of the NWWP Network. We met in the new banquet room of The Verdict, called “The Holding Cell”. True to its name, with that many people present, it kind of felt like a “cell”. On the bright side, it brought us all closer together! The food from The Verdict was delicious and the desserts from Stressed Desserts were fabulous!!!
Profits from the evenings registration fees are being donated to a Haiti Relief Medical Team from Colorado. The team will be going in the beginning of May and are in need of donations to pay for medical supplies, equipment and items they are bringing to give to the people of Haiti. If you can donate any amount, please contact me so that I can give you the address to send your check to.
We had a great turnout at the meeting. Our guest speakers were Simon and Megan of Mega Music who spoke to us about Music Licensing and how it affects or applies to each of us in the industry. They also showed us their exclusive line of Luminex Fabric. Very cool!
Our other speaker was Lisa Gross of A Breathtaking Moment who shared with us her notes from the “Six Figure Wedding Business Summit 2011”. Lots of great advice. Thank you Lisa!
We had TWO door prize winners of leather bound business card portfolios. Also, Annie of Floral Sunshine handed out bottles of “Frank’s Hot Sauce”.
And to top off the evening, Stressed Desserts brought cookies and cake balls on sticks, delicious cupcakes and even little Bride and Groom favor boxes with a cookie in each. Stressed Dessert co-owner, Chelsea Boehler, also introduced her other co-owned company, Dream Team Events. Thank you ladies for joining the NW Wed Pro Team.
