Wedding Networking in June 2011

Hello NW Wed Pro’s!!

All I have got to

say is, “GREAT meeting Tuesday night!”.

Thank you everyone for coming. We had a total of 34 members in attendance.

Thank you Atkinson Memorial Church for providing the venue for our meeting. Your chapel, stained glass windows, dome and balcony are so beautiful!

Thank you Two Girls Catering for the delicious raviolis, salad, cupc

akes and strawberry lemonade. It was so good!

Thank you Rob Patton of Enter the Net for teaching us so much about Social Networking our businesses on Facebook. It was very informative and helpful.

Please be sure to post a link to your business Fan Page on our NW Wed Pro Facebook page. We should all be connected.

Plenty of dollar bills were handed out in the referral money game. It was great to hear about so many referrals that were given and received among the members during the last month. Keep up the good work.

Be sure to make good use of all of those business cards you received at the meeting.

· Put them in a business card portfolio to have on hand at all times.

· Add vendors to your “links” page on your website.

· Find them on Facebook.

· Share your blog with them.

· Pass them on to brides that you meet with.

All new vendors that attended last night’s networking meeting have been added to the Vendor website at www.nwwedpro.com. Everyone should make sure their links and information are correct. Also, for your convenience, I have listed below the name and link of every person at the meeting last night in case you met someone but can’t remember a name.

Do you have suggestions for guest speakers or topics? Please email your suggestions. Do you know of a venue that would host a future meeting? Are you involved in an upcoming event or fair? Email me the info so it can be added to NW Wed pro Events Page and shared on Facebook.

In July we will be meeting on the 13th which is a Wednesday. The location is not verified yet. You will be informed as soon as the location is determined. It looks like we may be getting treated to delicious food from Portland Catering company and dessert of Gourmet Chocolate Dipped Strawberries by Berry Elegant!

Hello NW Wed Pro’s!!!

Can you believe that June is nearly upon us? Here we are with Wedding Season in full swing, and time is flying by.

It seems that some brides are booking vendors late for this summer. So if you still have dates open, don’t despair. Brides seem to be putting things off until the last minute. There are still many weddings out there for you to get in on. Now is the time to make sure your name is out there! Attend networking meetings, update your Facebook, get some new content on your website and publish a new Blog! Put yourself in front of the brides who are still looking!

A great place to be seen is at the next NWWP Network meeting! You will meet with fantastic wedding professionals. You will be fresh in their mind when they try to think of someone to refer their couples to. Also, you will get to view a great wedding venue and learn all there is to know about it so that you can better serve your clients. There will even be some delicious food to sample from one of the areas BEST catering companies!!!

NEXT MEETING:

Tuesday June 7th, 2011 6:30 – 8:30pm $15

Atkinson Church in Oregon City

710 6th St. Oregon City, OR

Our guest speaker will be Rob Patton of Enter the Net. He will introduce us to the Social Media Revolution! http://www.enterthenet.com/social-media-revolution/ Watch this video to get the facts.

Our featured vendor is none other than TWO GIRLS CATERING!

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to sample their delicious talents! Pasta, salad and their signature strawberry lemonade will be a perfect summer meal. I had the pleasure of sampling nearly 70 of their dishes last Sunday at their Tasting Event and everything was spectacular!

This is a meeting not to be missed. You MUST r.s.v.p. to attend.

And if you do RSVP but then find that you will not attend after all, Please be considerate and send an email removing yourself from the rsvp list.

Those that do not rsvp may attend and pay a $20 registration fee at the door.

Venues are still booking weddings for this summer. Now is a good time to be sure you have links on your website to all of your favorite wedding venues. Talk to venues about getting listed on their preferred vendor list. Offer to share something with them such as photos or flowers or a feature spot in a newsletter or Blog. Do so with other vendors also. Build your Network, form those business relationships and get your name out there. People remember random acts of kindness much more than a solicited offer. Be original or just be persistent. Never just sit and wait for business to come to you. You could be waiting a long time. Build a vendor page on your website if you don’t have one. Valid link exchanges help your Google ranking and also builds relationships with other vendors and venues.

I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting. Have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,

Beverly Mason The Radiant Touch Weddings

2010 NW Wed Pro Bridal Fair

NW Wed Pro is excited to announce the 2010 Bridal Fair. Presented by NW Wed Pro, hosted at Willamette Valley Country Club and promotional contributions by Wedding Workbook!

Mark your calendar for February 6th AND 7th of 2010. Two days of fabulous wedding professionals, all under one beautiful roof in the banquet facilities of Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby, Oregon.

This is a Bridal Fair that you won't want to miss. If you've ever attend a Bridal Show at the Expo or convention center, you know how impersonal, crowded and overwhelming it can be. Vendors pay thousands of dollars for those booths and recoup it by charging higher fees for weddings.

NOT so with the NW Wed Pro Bridal Fair.

Enjoy your time, take in the wonderful views, stop and visit with the professionals while viewing samples of their work. With wine tasting, catering samples, "how-to" demonstrations, makeovers and fabulous prizes and drawings, you'll want to spend your day here. The vendors don't have to pay high booth fees, so those savings are reflected in their prices.

Your admission to the show is only $2. All proceeds will be donated to Clackamas Women's Services!
So SAVE THE DATE of Feb 6&7, then check back for more details soon to come.

NWWP at The Broetje House

Hello NW Wed Pro’s!

I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend. The cooler temperature is perfect for our weddings this weekend!

Thank you to all of the people who attended Wednesday night’s meeting at The Broetje house. It was a very fun meeting. Here is a recap of the evening.

Lorraine, of The Broetje House, set up a beautiful space for us in the Conservatory. The A/C was greatly appreciated on that 90 degree day.

Our featured vendor tables were presented by Buenger Photography, His Bakery and Whiskey Creek Outfitters.
Buenger Photography displayed her talents in video, framed prints and also an incredible Italian crafted Wedding Album.
Whiskey Creek Outfitters couldn’t exactly bring the horse and carriage, but she displayed framed prints of her massive and beautiful black horse and the carriage. Some photos showed the bride sitting on the actual horse!
His Bakery provided us with samples of three different wedding cakes. These were delicious!

Food and beverages were provided this month by NWWP Network.

We opened the meeting with a discussion of building portfolio photo books. Portfolio’s are important for ALL vendor services. They are classy, elegant and sophisticated to show floral, cakes, venues and all other services. They are affordable and easy to make. In fact, Shutterfly and Photoworks are giving 20% off photo books. Give it a try! What have you got to lose?

The money game “It Pays To Be a NW Wed Pro” paid out a lot of dollar bills to anyone who gave a referral to someone in the group and to anyone who brought a guest to the group.

Our door prize winner was Mel O’Brien of Absolutely Only Photography. He won a leather bound planner. Congratulations Mel!

Rob Patton of “Enter The Net” spoke to the group on SEO (search engine optimization) and answered questions to everyone.
George of Awesome Wines brought his 1927 Chevrolet for us to view. He offers it for weddings, receptions and photo shoots.

After round robin introductions were done, we had plenty of time to visit with each other, exchange cards and information and also stroll the beautiful grounds around The Broetje House.

Thank you to the following people who made it an exceptional event!

Floral Sunshine, His Bakery, Buenger Photography, Awesome Wines Co, Lyneil Vandermolen, Noryne Robinson, Whiskey Creek Outfitters, Notes of Celebration, Kelcema Productions, Sara Gray Photography, Paradise Photography, Tiny Impressions Photography, Heather Scott Photographic, Snapdragon Studio flowers, Fliptography, Seriouscake.com, Absolutely Only Photography, Duo con Brio, Enter The Net, The Broetje House, The Radiant Touch.
Our next meeting is on a Monday. September 14, 2009 6pm-8pm at Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom

If you’d like to attend or be a featured vendor, please rsvp by emailing to radianttouch@ccwebster.net

In October we meet on Wed. October 14, 2009 6pm-8pm at Holy Names Heritage Center in Lake Oswego.

The next few months is when most vendors are holding consultations and bookings for Summer 2010. Be sure to refer every bride to NW Wed Pro for all of their other needs. Attend the monthly meetings so that your company is sure to be listed on NW Wed Pro.

I look forward to seeing in Oregon City in September!

NW Wed Pro's for Brides & Grooms

Happy Monday to all of you NW Wedding Pro’s!

I’d say the hot August weather is definitely back! We had some pretty comfortable temperatures for this weekend’s weddings, didn’t we?

I had the privilege of performing weddings at The Aerie at Eagle Landing, Union Hills, Canby Flower Farmers and also the historic Kelty House. All of them were beautiful locations with very friendly staff and owners.

Only 2 days left until the next NWWP NW Wed Pro meeting.
Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 6:00pm – 8:00pm at The Broetje House

It’s not too late to rsvp if you haven’t already. There has been one change to the meeting agenda. Portland Wedding Workbook had to cancel due to being called out of town this week. They will be having a wedding event in the near future, details to come.

On another note: NW Wed Pro email letters, such as this, are now being posted on a Blog! No more searching your old emails trying to find it, now you can find it on the Blog. Just bookmark it. Also, I hope that you all will become “followers” of the Blog by simply clicking on “follow this Blog”. It helps our search status, it gets you seen, it connects us all and it builds the network. Here is the link http://nwwedpro.blogspot.com/2009/08/nw-wed-pros-at-broetje-house-this-month.html

Links to the Blog can also be found on http://www.nwwedpro.com/ and http://www.nwwpnetwork.com/

Leaving comments on Blogs also gives customers and vendors an easy link back to you also! Take advantage of as many valid link-ups that you can get. It’s FREE and it definitely helps build business. My website still generates at least 3 new inquiries a day, that contact me about availability.

A current list of people attending the next meeting can be found on the Blog too.

See you Wednesday!
